We're all smart enough to know that the hero mission and normal mission are the same, sans the time limit for the normal mission.  Nobody's laughing.

Actually in hero mission you have to get the emereald before sonic and in normal you have to get it after sonic so they're not exactly the same.

And Sonic always finishes in exactly five minutes, therefore

Boo you're a genius! We'll add that in for you. While we're at it, let's add mission 4 rankings for Sonic Adventure 2.

Hey, he does raise a good point. If you have to get it after Sonic for the normal mission, then it's not the same thing at all.

But it'd still be stupid cause all times would be like 5:00:xx.

About SH: I think there should be an Extra division for Team Sonic, as in hard mode. :o

There would be a lot of ties too. Atleast we'd know who'd be cheating. Yeah, a guy saying he got it in 4:59:99. We'd all know he'd be lying.

^^It doesnt store your times, nor display an 'End of Stage' results screen, much like Shadow's 'Expert' Mode.

Same goes for bosses, and times for almost every oldschool sonic games. I dunno, I just think that with so many stages that constitute the hard mode, and by how different they are to the originals, they should probably be on TSC. And the fact that we can't track the Extra missions that just add a timer makes this somewhat convenient.

Though I know some will argue that you have to start over hard mode every time so time attacking later stages would be annoying, eh.

How about the missing Chaotix* missions?

And maybe we'll add scores for Sonic Spinball. Rings divisions for GG act 3's! (Heck, time as well!)

And if you can read this and tell that these are all jokes, say "Aye" There's a myriad of possibilities!
<Tails> also "GET BLUE SPHERES" on a black-and-white TV remains the best special stage of all time

Part of the problem with having Super Hard Mode (SH) and Expert Mode (ShTH) time divisions is not that the times aren't recorded, but rather you get very little time to actually write them down. On a serious note, a *Chaotix mission score divsion (for missions already counted at TSC) would not be a bad idea.

...Good point on Chaotix* Score, but is there really any fundamental difference in the levels? I haven't played in a while, so I can't remember if, say, items you collect are worth points. A lot of the timed or stealth missions wouldn't be able to be converted because they're the same as the regular ones, and if there's no fundamental difference it couldn't be done anyways.

Also now seems as good a time as any to pull out Sprint's sig.

The extra stages tend to be more involved and challenging, resulting in a tougher time getting an excellent time bonus, (the cut off time for optimum time bonuses may have been adjusted) but you can get more combo bonuses. The timed *Chaotox missions aren't tracked for TA purposes though. The stealth missions are different for score because they are tougher to get a decent score from because of difficulties getting good combos without TBG (a lot of enemies in those stages tend to have strong armor or some form of shield). Then again, before we make a *Chaotix Score division, we should move TBG to freestyle and do all of the other things that were on the list (Unidivision should be first priority).

Space Gadget Normal Time records are redundant. The best times would all be ties, much like Bridge Zone 2, but harder due to the subseconds, but do we need another Bridge Zone 2...? Space Gadget Normal Score records are good though. I'm all for Chaotix * Score missions, they are quite different except for the TA missions (Grand Metropolis, Rail Canyon and I think Egg Fleet where it's the same mission as the normal mission, but you're given a time limit ala Mission 4s/Sonic *). Sometimes you are given more objects to find (double the items apporximately, like Bullet Station and Seaside Hill) or you are given completely new objectives, like Mystic Mansion. I think it's valid competition. Also, I'd also like to bring up possible Boss Scores. I know there would potentially be a max I think, nor is a time bonus given and nor is score tracked, but I find it kinda interesting, maybe it's a bad idea... :/

Also magnum, TBG going to Freestyle has a slim chance of happening now. Metal Madness is a done deal and most of Rayku's Team Dark boss times, but others are more difficult to spot and with Rolk pwning SC and STT, there is even more of a slim chance of it getting done... :/

To add to the stupidity...

Automatic records for everyone with SKY CHASE in Sonic 2.
Me: Do you find it odd that CF's top two loves rank last in his Bouncy rankings? x_x
mike89: yes. yes i do.
mike89: but then i find CF odd.
Me: so do I.

The odds of meeting a TSCer randomly on the street, at any given time anywhere in the world, is approximately 15,785,611 to 1 ... and growing.

Guess what's so special about this topic?
Look at the number! Novelty topic~
It's a shame that the site crashed and that the honor goes to a flagrant showing of stupidity. Still, we can always pretend that this topic does not exist by deleting it, thus setting the number back by one and so on until a topic of note receives recognition. If SMF works that way.

Also I call pin this for great justice.

1. TSC doesn't use Invision boards any more.

2. Deleting a topic doesn't change the numbers of existing topics.

3. Is http://www.soniccenter.org/forum/index.php?topic=1338 a much worthier bearer of the title?
